Based on a recent study conducted by British researchers from Aberdeen University , women who have taken pills have longer lives compared to women who didn’t. In addition to that, they are also less likely to die from cancer and heart problems.
The study showed that women who used oral contraception had a significantly lower rate of death resulting from any cause as compared with women who had never taken it. They also noted that there is no link between pills and an increased long-term risk of dying young.
These results were reaped from a 40-year study on about 46,000 women. However, the researchers said that their conclusions may only be true for those who took older-style pills.
